Start from a sample script:

153 / 500 characters

Free clips are up to 500 characters, with no sign-up and no watermark. Longer scripts, voice cloning and more voices are on the paid plans.

How it works

  1. Type or paste your script. Free clips are up to 500 characters.
  2. Leave the "Deep robot preset" ticked. It lowers the pitch by 30 Hz and slows the speed by 15 percent on any voice. Guy is preselected; Christopher and Eric sound good too.
  3. Press generate, listen, and download the MP3. Untick the preset to hear the normal voice for comparison.

What does this robot voice sound like?

It is a deep, flat, slightly slow robotic voice: the kind of steady, low read you hear from a ship computer or a game robot. It comes from a normal AI voice with the pitch turned down and the speed slowed.

It is not a metallic or buzzing vocoder effect. If you need a crunchy, electronic sound, generate the MP3 here and add a robot or vocoder filter in your audio or video editor.

Tips for a more robotic read

  • Write short sentences with full stops. Robots sound best when every line ends cleanly.
  • Use formal words: "affirmative", "processing", "unit seven", "please proceed".
  • Spell numbers the way they should be read, such as "three point two percent".
  • Add "Beep." or "Processing." as its own sentence for a pause.
  • Try a different voice with the preset on. Each one gives a different robot.

Where a robot voice works well

  • Sci-fi videos, short films and animations.
  • Game characters, boss intros and announcements.
  • TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Reels skits.
  • Funny voicemails, alarms and prank messages for friends.
  • Escape rooms, class projects and robotics club demos.

What this tool does and does not do

  • It reads your text in a deep robotic voice and gives you an MP3.
  • It does not add metallic, buzzing, echo or glitch effects, and it does not change the voice in a recording you upload.
  • It does not copy any movie, TV or game robot. The voices are standard AI voices.

Frequently asked questions

Is the robot voice generator free?

Yes. The box is free with no sign-up and no watermark, up to 500 characters per clip. Longer scripts, voice cloning and more voices are on the paid plans.

How is the robot voice made?

The preset lowers the pitch of the chosen AI voice by 30 Hz and slows it by 15 percent. That gives a deeper, flatter and more machine-like read.

Can I get a metallic robot voice?

Not in this tool. It gives a deep robotic voice without audio effects. For a metallic sound, add a vocoder or robot filter to the downloaded MP3 in an editor.

Can it sound like a famous movie robot?

No. We do not imitate characters from films, shows or games. You get your own robot voice from a standard AI voice.

Can I use the robot voice in my videos?

Yes, you can download the MP3 and add it to your videos, games and posts. Check each platform's rules on labelling AI-generated audio.

Need more than a short clip?

The free box above is capped at 500 characters per clip. If you need longer scripts (up to 5,000 characters per generation), voice cloning or higher-quality voices, take a look at the plans. Nothing here is required to use the free tool.
